The Christmas season is most definitely upon us! During the frantic days of the season, we are often inundated with a large list of “to-dos” that, if left unchecked, seek to rob the precious moments of the holidays right out of our hands. These days truly are precious. For those of us involved in the Christian life, we recognize it more than others. It is a time when all people, both believers and seekers, are searching for greater meaning in life. Because of our passion here at Springdale to reach a hurting world, we believe we cannot let the profound opportunities offered to us at Christmas time simply slip out of our hands.
That’s why we’re presenting “Simply Christmas,” a one-night only event of Christmas songs, stories, memories and laughter. The highlight of the evening will be a live concert featuring award-winning singer/songwriter duo Jonathan and Lisa Moore. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with delicious hoers d’oeuvres served in the Common grounds. At 7:00 the concert will begin and will last until 9:00. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at anytime during the week by calling the Springdale Office or on Sunday at the table in the Common Grounds.
While “Simply Christmas” promises to be a fantastic night of holiday sounds, stories, laughter and memories, to the Springdaler it holds the potential for so much more. Within this single event we have been given the opportunity to reach into the lives of our unchurched friends and family and bring them into a “grace place.” 2008 is rapidly drawing to a close, and this is our last “Big Shot”.
In order for “Simply Christmas” to be all that it can be, we need you. Of course, we hope you won’t miss out on this great evening, but beyond that, we need you to make it a high priority over these next ten days to “Walk Across the Room” and bring your friends and family.
In the next few days you’ll be receiving a single ticket in the mail for “Simply Christmas”. This ticket is our way of making an investment into your life. All we ask is that you multiply this investment by bringing others along with you to experience this evening together.
Please take the time to pray and ask the Lord to show you who you might bring to “Simply Christmas”.
