Finding a church home can be a challenge—we’ve all been there.

Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating, and for that reason, many choose to stay home. But we want you to experience the excitement and joy of living out the gospel in biblical community. Everybody is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, your doubts, or your struggles. The church is a collection of broken people saved by God’s grace in Christ. You are welcome here!

  • We serve fresh coffee from Sunergos in the Café.
  • Our greeting team will give you a lay of the land.
  • We have programming for all ages during the 8:45 community group hour.
  • Ages Kindergarten and older join parents for the 10:00 am worship service.
  • We provide programming for crawlers to pre-K during the 10am worship service.
  • We collect an offering, but visitors are not pressured to give.
  • We emphasize congregational singing so sing loud. 
  • We will hear a sermon from our current sermon series. 
  • Stop by the Connect Center and receive a free gift from the church.

We have plenty of on-site parking and clear signage to get you where you need to be. You will be greeted by a group of friendly faces just outside the main entrance under the portico.

LifeGroup Hour

8:45–9:45am

The nursery is located in the Family Center and is always open. Nursing moms can enjoy the comfort of a quiet room, equipped with rocking chairs, a crib, changing tables, and a feeding room. We can provide a trained volunteer to care for the infant at the parents/guardians request.

Crawlers to Walkers

Red Room in the Family Center

We seek to help our crawlers and walkers understand basic truths about the gospel. They will hear songs, make crafts, hear Bible stories, and enjoy a snack.

Walkers to PreK

Orange Room in the Family Center

Walkers to Pre-K will sing songs, make crafts, and hear Bible stories. They will rotate through the Adventure River Theatre—a theatre decorated with a fun, Louisvillian, and adventurous theme— to hear live Bible teaching from our Kids Director.

Kindergarten to 5th Grade

Blue Room in the Family Center

Kindergarten through 5th grade will also worship with their friends in the Adventure River Theatre, as well as make crafts and discuss the lesson they heard.

Middle School and High School Students

Yellow Room in the Family Center

Our middle school and high school students will enjoy snacks, study the Bible, and share practical applications from the study as they build community and grow in relationships.

Adults

Community Center

Adult LifeGroups will share prayer requests, study the Bible, and share practical applications from the study.

Kids’ Check-in <span style="font-weight: normal;">System and Safety</span>

Kids’ Check-in System and Safety

We use a check-in system that will print off name tags—that are then placed on the back of your child’s shirt— and pickup slips. Each pickup slip has a unique code that also appears on your child’s name tag. This is one of the ways we keep our kids safe and secure. You are welcome to pick your kids up at any time during the morning. And if they need you sooner, our family ministry team will get you.

We take your kids' safety very seriously by doing full background checks on and providing training for every volunteer serving in family ministry.

The Worship <span style="font-weight: normal;">Service Hour</span>

The Worship Service Hour

10am–11:15am

We offer kid programming for Crawlers to Pre-K during the 10am worship hour. They will hear a short devotional, make crafts, and enjoy a small snack.

Kindergarten-aged children and up will participate in the corporate worship service with their parents and/or guardians. Kids of all ages are welcome to join the worship service. We provide a coloring sheet and craft activities for the kids.

The nursery is always open. Nursing moms can enjoy the comfort of a quiet room, equipped with rocking chairs, a crib, changing tables, and a feeding room. The service is streamed live into the nursery through a TV so you can participate in the worship service in a baby-friendly environment.

The Worship Service

Our worship service has a contemporary style of worship music that values and emphasizes congregational singing. The service includes prayer, pastoral updates, mission team commissioning, mission partner stories, new member presentations, baptisms, the Lord’s Supper, and gospel-centered preaching. Kids of all ages are welcome to join the worship service.

Preaching

Preaching

Our preaching time is focused on taking the deep truths of the Bible and explaining them in a way that makes sense and can be applied with practical application today. A typical sermon is 35 minutes and will explain the cultural context of the passage, draw out a main point, and provide application to help you put the message into action. The normative preaching style is expository preaching through books of the Bible. Over the past few years, we have completed studies through John, Joshua, Acts, Judges, Romans, Ruth, and 1 Samuel. In the coming years, we plan to study 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Corinthians, 1 and 2 Kings, Galatians, Ephesians, and Psalms.

Response

Every week we respond in worship in a few different ways. Those who consider Springdale their home will be given the opportunity to worship with their finances by giving back a portion to God via the offering. You as a guest should feel no pressure to take part in this. Once a month we take the Lord’s Supper together. We’ll typically close the service with a song. Please don’t feel like you need to run out right away. Take some time to meet new people.
